KBM - Kitchen and Bathroom Makeovers

How Much Does a New Kitchen Cost in Essex & Hertfordshire?

Most full kitchen installations with Kitchen & Bathroom Makeovers (KBM) cost between £8,000 and £15,000, covering the majority of kitchens we fit across Essex and Hertfordshire. Larger or higher-spec projects — bigger layouts, premium worktops, or up-market appliance brands like Bosch or Neff — typically run from £25,000 upwards. Every fully fitted kitchen includes appliances, integrated or freestanding as needed; premium brands like these are simply available if you'd like them. Every quote is free and based on your actual kitchen, not a generic estimate, so these figures are a starting point for budgeting rather than a fixed price.

Why our kitchens are priced this way

Every kitchen KBM fits is bespoke — manufactured by our supplier specifically for your space, rather than pulled off a shelf. That's why our pricing sits above a flat-pack or self-assembly kitchen: you're getting units, doors and finishes made to your exact layout and measurements, fitted by a team that's been doing this for over 35 years.

If budget is tight

A full bespoke kitchen isn't the only option. We also offer off-the-shelf kitchens at a lower price point if a made-to-order kitchen doesn't fit your budget, and a kitchen door change or re-face — a fraction of the cost of a full replacement, giving your existing kitchen a new look without replacing the whole layout.

What affects your price

Size and layout — a galley kitchen costs less to fit than an open-plan or L-shaped layout. Worktops — laminate through to quartz or granite. Appliances — integrated appliances add cost over bringing your own. Plumbing and electrical work — moving a sink, adding sockets or lighting adds labour and, sometimes, notifiable work. Structural or building work — knocking through a wall to create an open-plan kitchen/diner adds building work, structural support (e.g. an RSJ) and sometimes building control sign-off.

Your free quote breaks all of this down so you know exactly what you're paying for.

How payment works

We keep payment staged so you're never paying for work that hasn't happened yet: a 50% deposit is due on acceptance of your quotation to secure materials and your fit date, a further 30% is due on delivery of your kitchen, and the remaining balance is payable on completion.

Aftercare

We book a follow-up visit three to six months after your kitchen is fitted as standard — often when small adjustments are needed, such as doors that have dropped slightly once cupboards are loaded and settled. Outside of that, you can call us any time.

Get an accurate price for your kitchen

The only way to know exactly what your kitchen will cost is a free, no-obligation home visit — request your free quote and we'll give you a fully itemised price within 24 hours of visiting. We cover Essex, Hertfordshire, and the outskirts of London, typically travelling around 30 miles from our base in Harlow.
